Gov. Sonko in hot soup as Nairobi MPs gang up against him, says he’s incompetent

Nairobi mps and senator have blamed Nairobi governor for being incompetent in serving the great people of Nairobi county.

Led by Nairobi senator Johnson Sakaja the leaders said that the governor has been playing public relations stunt.

The leaders demanded that governor Sonko should fill in positions of all those sacked or either suspended.

Sakaja and the mps said that the county government has budgeted for many projects with billboards everywhere but literally nothing on the ground.

The leaders who seemed agitated and annoyed lamented on the issue of appointing a deputy governor.

On his part Langata mp Nixon Korir blamed the governor for not cooperating with the elected leaders in Nairobi and that it hurts the capital city in a big way.

The leaders said that 6000 casual workers have not been paid so far.

”The governor says he pays workers from his own pocket while he also claims during audit by the PAC committee that the payments are done by the county government.” sakaja said

The senator said that the governor preys on projects by the national government but literally does nothing for the great people of Nairobi .

The leaders drown from all parties said that business men and women are suffering during Sonko’s reign to a sickening level.

Sakaja said that the governor has been relying on excuses every time but blames the former governor Evans Kidero two years down the line which seems unrealistic.

They said that the governor should work to uplift the face of the capital city of Kenya.

The team also gave EACC and other institutions a go ahead to perform their work vibrantly without interference.
