Pastor James Maina Ng’ang’a sue KRA for demanding tax from his church tithe and offering

Controversial Neno Evangelism Pastor Maina Ng’ang’a has moved to court seeking justice after KRA demanded to tax his offerings and church tithe. This is after KRA wrote to the pastor last week demanding his banks accounts details for aid in taxation.

In the letter,KRA claims that the pastor is pocketing more than what is termed as mere offering hence it deserves taxation to support growth of our Kenyas’ economy .
The debatable pastor opposed the move by KRA by indicating that the Bible even speculates that offering are not taxable. He says that he therefore rightfully posses all his offering and that it is a blessing from God.”Hakuna ile mimi natoa kwa KRA,hao watafute njia ingine ya kupata pesa za kujenga uchumi.Ile mimi napata kwa kanisa ni baraka kutoka kwa Mungua”,said the pastor.

The pastor through his lawyer Maina wa Kaire, filed a petition today morning at Milimani law courts to opposed what its termed as illegal grabbing of tithe and offering.
