I find the complains on census report not realistic and make no sense at all. Planning for census took place at every county and subcounty level. Chiefs and village elders were involved. The result that came out is the true picture on the ground. Every door was knocked, every Kenyan was counted and if there were errors then why do these people complaining want to make it a systematic error targeting the places where they come from? Those who were complaining say from Tharaka Nithi region were those seemingly well fed individuals in the name of leaders, same to what I have just witnessed in Garissa area. This was a professional exercise which had no room for manipulation. I belief the survey used met the internally recognised standards. In my view, the national government should cut down these many constituencies to reasonable number to save on tax payers money.
CASE STUDY: Take for example Lamu county which has a population of 140K people has entire county leadership including 9CECs, 9CEOs, 10 ward admins, two subcounty ward admins together with two MPs, 10 MCAs, assembly leadership; and on the other hand, Ndhiwa Constituency in Homa Bay county, Nyanza with 100K registered voters only has one MP, 8 Wards and 8 ward admins.
No single leader from Nyanza has complained over Census results. These individuals complaining should be honest, let them stop greed and high appetite for public resources.
